For this month’s 30 minutes in the Life post, I decided to do a little street photography — which I love — but I challenged myself to do it at night. I took a half hour stroll around my neighborhood, and surprisingly ran into quite a few people walking their dogs. I loved seeing the Metropolitan Museum with its stairs completely devoid of people (a rarity), and as usual was drawn to the mannequins in various storefronts. Come take the walk with me…
Psst! Now that you’ve taken a stroll around my neighborhood with me, go check out my friend Sharleen N Stuart’s 30 minutes in March! She takes amazing nature photographs — I can’t wait to see what she has in store for us this month!
so so cool – I love the low light, that it is street-photography and you captured it perfectly. It’s really inspiring, just makes me wanna do it as well – Thanks for the creative inspiration!
I love your walks….and this is stunning.
Colleen, These are gorgeous! I feel like I was with you on the walk. I love how you captured NYC at night 🙂
Colleen, I always look forward to seeing your 30 Minutes, I know I’ve said it before but I’m itching to visit your beautiful city. You’ve added another dimension this month – NYC looks gorgeous in low light!
Oh I just love these, all of them, I need to go out and do some late night street photography, you’ve totally inspired me to try something very different! Gorgeous!
Oh man! These are totally amazing. I love that low POV Met stairs shot and that dog with wheels…incredible
I always love your walk abouts Colleen. I love how you captured it all by night. I need to learn to do that properly as well. My favorite image is the one directly below the guy on the bicycle. Also the trees in the image next to it. Great leading lines. So much happening in the space of a walk. I love it…
thank you sharleen!!
I love your street photography and getting a peek into your world. My favorites are the buildings with the stairs.
thanks karen!! that’s the met museum 🙂
