For this month’s “30 minutes” project, I went to Butterfly World in Coconut Creek, Florida. I only had a half an hour to pop in real quick, so it worked out perfectly. After stepping through several doors, I found myself surrounded by thousands of different colored butterflies! It was so much more than I expected, I actually laughed out loud as they all were landing on me and the other people in the butterfly room! I only had my 35mm lens on my camera, so unfortunately I wasn’t able to get too close to them, but I hope these photos will help you to feel as though you were there with me 😉
Psst! Now that you’ve finished looking at magical butterflies with me, go check out the next photographer in our group’s take on the “30 minutes” project! She’s an incredible nature photographer from Florida: Sharleen N. Stuart!
So beautiful!! Love the colors!! And that’s the only downside of the 35!! Mine stays on most times, too.
So beautiful and colorful! I love butterflies and have a standing annual trip to a local garden to capture images. My 35 is on mine all the time and it captures images beautifully!
I love the colors. I keep saying I am going to go there. If you want to go for longer with a zoom lens give me a shout. I will happily go. The butterflies are just gorgeous and I love the image of the passionfruit. I think you have encouraged me to head over there and visit.
THESE ARE SO COOL!! Oh my goodness, the parrot on the head? Perfection!!
Such gorgeous images. Love the color, and the butterflies. Awesome as always.
Colleen these are so beautiful! I love the butterflies! They are so gorgeous. I need to find a place like this near me.
Colleen, Stunning job! i love picturing you laughing out loud with the butterflies landing on you. I wish I could have been there to photograph that! You scored with your 35! xo
It’s amazing to me how beautiful and diverse nature is. What a great idea and you captured it perfectly! Thank you for taking me along. 🙂
What a beautiful share! I love these photos and am thrilled for the chance to live through them. I’ve learned that as much as I love butterflies, I don’t do super well in spaces where insects may land on me at any second.
