When I found out I was flying to the United Arab Emirates to photograph the lovely O’Reilly Family in Dubai, I remembered that one of my favorite New Jersey families had moved to Abu Dhabi a year or so ago, so I reached out to them. You remember the Bongiovannis — I photographed them shortly after their sweet daughter Ceci joined the family from Ghana! I reached out to them to see if they’d like to meet up for coffee or a meal while I was traveling (Abu Dhabi is only about an hour from Dubai), and they asked if I had time to photograph them at their new home on the NYU campus there! I was so very excited to see them all again, and to see how the girls have grown (Ceci is sooo tall now!).
I had such a wonderful time catching up with them while I was there — the girls are certainly flourishing in their school and on the NYU campus. They are such a close and loving family who laugh a lot together! It was so great to see that, and be able to capture some memories for them with my camera. Ted & Deb — thanks so much for having me out and reconnecting! I can’t wait to see what the future brings for your awesome family!
What a great session, Colleen! Love every single image!
