I’ve known Jessica since she was a teenager, and while photographing her engagement session, it occurred to me how absolutely quick time flies! She is about to graduate grad school as a Physician’s Assistant and is engaged to marry her high school sweetheart, Alex, who is about to graduate from law school! I’m so excited to photograph their wedding in Houston later this year!! It will be my 2nd time photographing a Texas wedding 😉
Jessica and Alex flew up to NYC for their engagement shoot earlier this month, and on an absolutely freezing morning we met in a pretty empty Central Park to take photos. These southerners were bundled up in super fashionable coats and scarves and didn’t complain about the cold once — a testament to how absolutely wonderful and kind Jessica and Alex truly are! Once we finished in Central Park, we hopped on the subway down to Grand Central Station where we took advantage of the coffee shop, restrooms, and heat!! After some photos in the gorgeous train station, we somehow cajoled the bartender at Campbell’s Apartment to let us take some photos at their iconic bar (one of my all-time faves here in New York!) hours before it opened — I think it had something to do with a suited-up Alex beaming at his fiancee in her beautiful dress 😉 Once we finished there, we walked over to the New York Public Library, taking advantage of the amazing architecture. At one point, one of my favorite professors from college saw me and came over to say hello! I absolutely love when this sort of things happens in a city with over 8 million people! (And if you remember I photographed her engagement photos at the Brooklyn Museum almost 3 years ago)!
After their fun, romantic engagement session we headed to Pizza Beach for a delicious lunch and celebrated the start of a beautiful year! Cheers to Alex and Jessica!
I have had this open on my computer since you posted it. Total magic. I love how you used all the incredible locations, and how the couple’s love, laughter and happiness shine in every picture. I am so in awe. Outstanding!!!
Thank you so much, Julia!!! You are so so kind 🙂
WOW! These are absolutely gorgeous!!!!!
