Last Friday I had the privilege of not only photographing a very private marriage ceremony, but to be the witness, as well. Lezlie and Mitch met about a year ago, fell in love, and decided to get married at City Hall in downtown Manhattan. Lezlie is a born & bred Texan; Mitch is a native New Yorker. They each have their own distinct accents and pasts, yet they met in this crazy city of 8 million people and found true love with each other. This love is clear to everyone who sees the way they look at each other.
After they said their vows and exchanged rings inside, they ventured out to sit in the adjacent “Wedding Garden” where they could relax and enjoy their newly married status. That evening, Lezlie’s lovely friend, Suzanne, threw a small, intimate dinner party where many toasts were given, wishing Lezlie and Mitch many years of happiness.
Cheers to the newlyweds! I am so happy that I was able to participate in your special day and witness the beginning of a beautiful marriage.
Love the scrabble tile shot!
