We have been so lucky to have the most mild summer here in the NYC area. It almost feels like fall is in the air already, and I cannot wait! (Fall is my FAVORITE season!!) I went with a friend to Silverman’s Farm in CT, about an hour outside of the city, to pick peaches and raspberries last week. It was so refreshing walking through the rows of trees in the orchard, breathing in the scent of ripe peaches and turned earth. There’s nothing like picking a piece of fruit right off the tree, warm from the sunshine. After we filled our bags with peaches, we strolled through the raspberry bushes and dodged the numerous bees to pick some for our basket. I’m already excited for apple and pumpkin season, which is right around the corner!
Don’t forget this is a group blog project. Please click on this link to see what Hayley Hay was up to this month in Switzerland! Her photos are always so breathtaking, and I love how she documents her beautiful boys!
I love this Colleen and I am so glad you got to blog with us. The peaches look divine and I think I should look out for places where you can do that as well. Nothing better than fruit straight off the trees.
Thank you for sharing.
love it – so warm and makes me wanna eat fruit…
