I have been so fortunate to meet such wonderful friends within the photography industry. 3 lovely ladies live around NYC (NJ, Westchester NY, and CT) and we all try to meet up every few months to hang out, take photos, chat, and have cocktails. 😉 This month, Jo (of Jo Bryan Photography) welcomed us to her gorgeous new photography studio in Rye, New York, a quick 30 minute train ride from Manhattan. We are all so proud of her beautiful new space, and celebrated with cocktails, lunch, and a sunset stroll around Rye Playland.
It had a bit of a strange, after-season feel to it, similar to that scene in the movie “Big” when Tom Hank’s character races to the boardwalk (which was actually filmed at Rye Playland!) to find the Zoltar machine. (Spoiler alert: we did not find the Zoltar machine). We strolled along this boardwalk, and then walked around the nice nature preserve that overlooked the amusement park.

I grew up not far from Rye Playland and have happy memories going as a child! I particularly love these boardwalk images!! 🙂
I love seeing your perspective! These are so beautiful! I wish I took more pictures when we were there!
Ah love these Colleen, looks very calm and tranquil everywhere. So nice that you get to meet up with other photographers too. Loved reading your 30minutes this month. 🙂
Colleen these are awesome. I love the images of the bay and the sun rays. What a fun it is to visit a place where a movie was made. I am so glad that you are meeting up with other photographers. I remember how much fun it was when we met up.
Love these images, Colleen! You captured the place beautifully! I wish I could have visited Rye Playland too when I was living up North. Hoping you’ll join me down South one of these days for a photography adventure too. 🙂
