For this month’s 30 minutes in the Life project, I tried something a bit different. I decided to snap on my macro lens (usually reserved for ring shots at weddings and baby’s eyelashes/fingernails at newborn sessions) and photograph details of beautiful plants and flowers. I felt a bit out of place being creative with this type of photography, as I’m usually photographing people or places, but I found a true art to it, and had fun playing around with different angles and distances. I may even print a few of these to frame in my home!
Psst! Now that you’ve finished a little up-close nature action, go check out the next photographer in our group’s take on the “30 minutes” project! It’s Summer K Photography, the most amazing documentary photographer in Ohio! Her photos are just breathtaking 🙂
Oh my goodness Colleen!! I LOVE all of these. One of my favorite lenses is my macro but I don’t use it as often as I should. You’ve definitely inspired me to take it out of my camera bag 🙂
Love! Just love them! I’ve so got to get me a macro just for shots like these – and they are most definitely wall worthy! Beautiful!
Oh my Gosh I just love these. I need to work on my macro because I am not getting that. What lens are you using? I need to practice on wedding rings this week 🙂
They are beautiful and I would definitely print up a few. Great photo’s Colleen.
Colleen – these are SO amazing. I love macro photography, but rarely get my macro lens out. So, so good. And you DEFINITELY should get some printed.
These are SPECTACULAR! Such a beautiful job!!
Colleen!!! WOW! These are so different and unique from what I was expecting to see when I visited your 30 minutes. The softness, the creative angles, the tender colors–so, incredibly beautiful.
On a side note, I have LOVED seeing your recent images in my feed. You do beautiful work.
The color and texture of these is just amazing! I don’t have a macro lens but I do reverse lens macro sometimes. This really makes me want the real deal! And yes, please hang these in your home somewhere!
I would love these on my walls. Such variety in colours and textures. I feel so drawn in by this world of details. Gorgeous, gorgeous work.
Wow these are fantastic. Such rich lovely color. Could be cards!! I love that you’re always trying new things.
Colleen, not only should you print these but you could sell them. Absolutely stunning.
