30 minutes in april {west village rainy day}

Whoops.  I totally didn’t plan anything for my “30 minutes” series this month.  So I threw my camera in my bag this afternoon as I was running out the door to meet a friend for lunch and drinks in the west village, thinking “I’m sure I’ll find something interesting to photograph for a half an hour today.”  And then we had a few yummy cocktails at The Dutch, and I belatedly realized I probably should have taken my camera out pre-drinks.  And then it started to rain.  I could’ve been totally discouraged.  But my awesome Nikon is weather-resistant (mostly, at least) so on the walk to lunch at Corsino, I kept my camera out and snapped what a typical rainy day in NYC is like.  Nothing special, but I hope you enjoy!

PS It stopped raining a few minutes before we arrived and the sun shined, a rainbow displayed itself in the sky, and adults and kids alike smiled and enjoyed the crazy spring weather.

Psst!  Now that you’ve finished taking a walk with me in the West Village, go check out the next photographer in our group’s take on the “30 minutes” project! She’s my favorite Ohio documentary photographer, Summer K Photography.
