Last month I showed you NYC from above; this month I decided to photograph the complete opposite and show you Aspen from above! I fell in love with Colorado when I was 16 years old, visiting my older sister for the first time in Denver after she left Florida for college. She drove me into the mountains with some of her friends that weekend and that was the beginning of my love affair with the Rocky Mountains. I’ve been lucky to visit Aspen each year since finishing college, getting to know this wonderful little town in both the winter and summer. My favorite thing to do in Aspen (besides skiing of course) is to ride the gondola. This 15 minute ride from the base of Aspen Mountain to the top is the focus of my 30 minutes this month (ok so it’s a bit shorter than half an hour…).
Psst! Now that you’ve zoomed above Aspen Mountain with me, please go check out all my lovely photographer friends’ “30 Minutes” in March. It’ll be totally worth it, I promise 😉
Those views are amazing Colleen! That white snow and blue sky contrast is incredible.

Colleen these are beautiful! I love the contrast to what you shot last month. Looks so darn pretty in Aspen!
Beautiful images Colleen. I wondered where you were. I loved Colorado. We went to Breckenridge and it was just beautiful. I love the black and white in the middle.
