It has not struck me as unusual that all 3 of my summer “30 minutes” posts have taken place on or in the water. I grew up swimming every day and absolutely adore being on or near the water, especially when the weather is nice!
August finds me visiting my parents at their summer house up on Lake Michigan again, this time with my sister and her fiance, Tim, as well. We all love being here together, enjoying each other’s company, the many vineyards surrounding us, and getting out on the water! My parents arranged an afternoon sailing trip aboard the Manitou, one of the tall ships docked in Traverse City, the nearest “city” which boasts a large marina. We sailed around for a few hours and took advantage of the on board bar 😉 Here’s a little glimpse into our afternoon! Ahoy!
Psst! Now that you’ve sailed around Lake Michigan with me (and my family!), please go check out my dear and talented friend Amanda Voelker’s 30 minutes in Washington, D.C.!
Absolutely stunning captures, Colleen! I feel like I’m sailing on Lake Michigan too! What a fun day you had this month!
What a great day you look like you had, and so many different aspects of the trip as well. I have thoroughly enjoyed all 3 of your “water” trips. I love all the blue skies and nautical colors and seeing your family.
