“deep in the heart of texas”

Last month I had a very special opportunity to photograph one of my high school best friend’s wedding.  Robert proposed to Alison a little over a year ago when they were living in New Orleans, and I flew down there to take their engagement photos, which was super fun (here’s the blog post if you want a refresher).  Alison is from San Antonio, so that’s where they decided to get married.  I flew down for a long weekend and had such a blast in this awesome Texas city!  Robert and Alison’s friends and family were such a fun bunch of people, all gathered to witness and celebrate the marriage of these two very special people.

The ceremony took place at The Little Church of La Villita, which was just gorgeous.  Afterwards, we took some photos down on the Riverwalk, where the happy couple were cheered on by tourists boating along the river.  The celebrations continued at Mi Tierra, a mariachi bar and restaurant that was SO fun!  We finished off the evening with some photos in front of San Antonio’s most popular tourist attraction:  The Alamo!  (PS There is no basement there…)

Alison and Robert, thank you so much for asking me to be such a special part of your big day!  I hope these photos will bring back wonderful memories for years to come!
