Dubai Travel Photographer: O’Reilly Family

Friends are great.  Old friends are even better.  I met Elisabeth and Tom 14 years ago when we all studied abroad together in the charming southern French town called Cannes.  Thanks to social media we’ve been able to stay in touch, as soon after graduation Elisabeth and Tom married and moved to Copenhagen.  A little later they moved to the Middle East for a fabulous job opportunity, and they’ve been raising their 3 gorgeous little girls there ever since!

You all know I LOVE exploring the world, so when Elisabeth mentioned she’d love for me to come to Dubai to take family photos, I booked a flight and headed to the United Arab Emirates!  It was so so much fun to catch up with the two of them and meet their adorable, funny and smart children.  We drove out to the desert one evening for a picnic dinner and photos, which was definitely a first for me!!  The kids had an insane amount of energy, running up and down the dunes faster than us adults could keep up.  Although it was very hot in the city of Dubai, I was surprised with how pleasant it was in the desert.  There was a nice breeze and the sand was fairly cool to touch.  It was absolutely breathtaking to look around 360 degrees and see nothing but sun, sand and sky.  I had a wonderful evening in the desert, and am so grateful to Elisabeth and Tom for having me out to photograph them.  (Stay tuned for a few more photos of the O’Reilly clan!)
