The day has finally arrived!! Jessica and Alex are high school sweethearts, and I loved photographing their engagement portraits earlier this year in NYC. They planned a magnificent wedding in their home state of Texas, at the Petroleum Club of Houston. Every aspect of their big day was planned so thoughtfully – and culminated in a fabulous party with their family and friends!

I love these sweet moments in the Bridal Suite with her mom, cousins, and best friends!

Alex sent Jessica a letter for her to read the morning of their wedding day; there were tears and laughter. They’re such a perfect match!

Jessica sent Alex a special gift to open while he was getting ready with his friends. It was a gorgeous watch with a special engraving, that brought a huge smile to Alex’s face!

Jessica and Alex chose to have a First Look before their wedding ceremony, which I was so happy about! First Looks allow the bride and groom to have a private moment to see each other before their busy day unfolds, surrounded by all their loved ones. My 2nd shooter (Heather Laurenne, who is local to Houston) and I used our longest lenses to give Alex and Jessica lots of room to interact together. It’s also a great time to capture the beautiful bride & groom portraits that I feel are the ones couples end up printing and framing for their home most often. Jessica is the most gorgeous bride, and Alex so handsome! Wait till you see these portraits!

Below right is the moment Alex turned around and saw his gorgeous bride for the first time. Such an emotional moment!

Tears from both of them! Luckily Alex is a perfect gentleman and offered Jessica his handkerchief.

Jessica and Alex chose the campus of Rice University for their First Look, which I loved due to the incredible architectural details! (Please note: we had to ask permission from the University beforehand and pay a small fee).

True Millennials, they grabbed a quick selfie in the limo on the way to the Petroleum Club for portraits with their family and friends! 🙂

The view from the 35th floor was incredible! Houston is such a huge sprawling city, and it was fun to look out upon it.

Their wedding ceremony took place at All Saints Catholic Church, which is one of the most beautiful churches I’ve seen!

I love that moment before the bride walks down the aisle with her parents. Jessica is an only child so this was especially meaningful to her mom and dad.

The colors decorating the church were so bright and vibrant! I loved the navy and gold ceiling!

As a special surprise, Alex’s dad sang the most beautiful song to his son and new daughter-in-law. It was incredible and brought many in the pews below to tears!

The Petroleum Club was a perfect location for Jessica and Alex’s reception! So classic and elegant.

Both Jessica and Alex went to Texas A&M and wanted their beautiful school rings included in their wedding ring shot.

Alex and Jessica surprised their loved ones with a mariachi band performance! It was great fun and really got the party started!
