Some photographers like to have a specialty, like photographing newborns, or food, or fashion.  I am not one of them.  I honestly like to photograph everything that inspires me and brings me joy!  So when I was asked to photograph someone’s horse, Skye, I thought, “Why not?” even though it was totally new to me.

I absolutely love horses — I rode (western style) growing up and feel very comfortable around them.  Skye was not as cooperative as my human subjects in regards to posing 😉 , but I eventually got into a bit of a groove with her and really just observed and photographed her in her own world.  I’m pretty pleased with my first attempt at horse photography!  (It totally helped that she is the most gorgeous horse ever and super tame).
