tell me a story {august 2014}

I was asked to be a part of a monthly photo project called “Tell Me A Story,” in which a group of photographers document a part of their day with their camera and share it.  This month I wanted to share with you several hours of my time on my way to and from a photo shoot.  I live on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, so I walked to the 6 train and hopped downtown, transferring to the E train at 51st Street, getting off at Times Square.  I have become good friends with this particular client, as I met her at a mutual friend’s wedding I was photographing, then photographed her own engagement and wedding!  9 months later I photographed her newborn baby girl, and this session was to photograph the same sweet baby who is now 6 months old.  Because we’ve become good friends, we decided to meet up for lunch first to catch up, so I met her at John’s Pizza in the crazy, tourist-centric Times Square area.  After lunch, we took a taxi downtown to the Hudson River Greenway on the west side and took super cute photos of adorable little Delilah.  We strolled around for a bit afterward, people watching, before heading back uptown, when Candace and Delilah drove back to New Jersey and I went home to upload the photos.  Hope you enjoy a typical afternoon in my NYC life 🙂

    Welcome to the group Colleen – I always love your blogs – there is so much to see. I think I have said this before – I am going to visit up there. lol. My favorite is the reflection of the cab in the car. But I also love the photo’s taken through the open doors of the train. Also the reflection in the restaurant window. So much to see, so much drooling with envy. Thank you so much for joining us and sharing your city.
