Christmas in NYC is so special; there’s just a magical feeling in the air that all can feel. Of course it’s also a perfect time to visit New York with kids — to explore, shop, and kick off the holiday festivities — and have your family portraits taken!

The Morgan Family decided to visit Manhattan this month and brought their adorable kids for the first time, all the way from Seattle!

The store windows at Christmastime are something super special, and the girls especially loved looking at them!

Avery loved exploring the decorated store windows!

Then we wandered into Central Park for a little breathing room; midtown Manhattan can get super crowded with all the tourists visiting. Central Park offers a perfect respite from the hustle and bustle.

Chris’ mom and sister came up from Virginia for the week as well, and it was clear the girls loved having grandma time!!

“Aunt Melissa” and her boyfriend, Will, are so adorable together! Melissa and I met studying abroad together in Cannes, France many years ago and have stayed friends all these years. It was so fun spending time with her again!

I always love grabbing some photos of just mom and dad! Chris and Kate are so sweet together!

Who can resist grandma hugs?

So many giggles! I was so impressed with these girls; it was FREEZING cold and they were such troopers!
