The Juwara Family wanted family portraits taken to celebrate their sweet baby girl’s 1st birthday! After several months in quarantine, once Florida opened up the beaches we met up at the beautiful Caspersen Beach in Venice.

I absolutely love the outfits April chose for her family – very summery and easygoing (a lot like their personalities!)

Little Zalakai is a ball of energy – he didn’t stop moving or talking, asking so many questions and commenting on everything we saw. I just loved his spirit!!

These 2 are the cutest! Smiles for days!

One of my favorites! The way Zalakai posed cracked me up – I think he needs to get into modeling, April!! He’s a natural.

Caspersen Beach is a bit different than most of the other Suncoast beaches – it has lots of rocks on the water’s edge, which makes for a really cool backdrop. Zaelyn LOVED playing on the beach! And what kid doesn’t love swinging in between their parents? Giggles for days 🙂

April and Kalifa are such amazing parents – I love how laid back they were when the kids decided to plop down in the water and get all wet. It truly made for some really beautiful, Floridian photos.

After playtime in the water, it was time to change and start Zaelyn’s 1st Birthday Cake Smash! Her tutu and pearls were beyond adorable – and the coastal background is super unique (most of my previous cake smashes were in my NYC studio). Do you think she liked the cake…?

I’d say that’s a big YES! hahaha When Zaelyn grabbed the cake stand and shoved it into her face, we all started rolling around laughing! This girl has a sweet tooth!
