This month I decided to visit the Morikami Japanese Gardens in Delray Beach, Florida for my 30 minutes Project. This very peaceful garden has an abundance of beautiful flowers and trees, as well as many unique Japanese design aspects such as stone gardens, koi ponds, and a traditional Japanese house. I even ran into some Harajuku girls wandering the gardens, which made me feel as though I was actually in Japan!
I have to be honest, I accidentally left my phone in the car, so I couldn’t time my walk around the gardens to 30 minutes, exactly. I ended up spending a *bit* more time than I was supposed to, but it was an honest mistake and I really enjoyed my quiet walk around the lake. Hope you enjoy it through my lens, as well!
PS Another photographer from our 30 minutes group actually documented her trip to the Morikami Gardens last August. Please click here to see Sharleen’s perspective!
Psst! Now that you’ve finished exploring the Morikami Japanese Gardens, go check out the next photographer in our group’s take on the “30 minutes” project! She’s a lovely family photographer from Utah: Kristi Burton!

Beautiful Colleen!!!! Love every one!
Wow! Love the light and reflections! I feel so relaxed now. Beautiful.
Gorgeous work Colleen….stunning.
So beautiful, Colleen! I *love* the pull-back shot with the reflection. Such a peaceful place and such peaceful images.
Beautiful Colleen. I love the lanterns. I love your water feature photo’s. Wasn’t that just amazing. Incredible gardens that I think I am going to head back to in the spring. Around November they had a lantern lighting ceremony which I missed. I can imagine that would be beautiful. Thanks for sharing your experience and for linking me to your blog.
Beautiful! I love the light in the last few images. So beautiful! Also, so fun that you and Sharleen had a chance to capture the same location and do it so differently.
Colleen, Your images made me happy! So peaceful and just lovely. I would love to go there. Maybe we should all go there some day and see what our different takes our. 🙂 Beautiful! xo
