“do you believe in magic?”

Last month I had a wonderful opportunity to spend some time on Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia.  I was there to visit family, take in the gorgeous surroundings, and photograph the MacNeil Family!

MaryLeigh and James have the cutest kids, all with such fun personalities, and I had a great time photographing them having fun in their beautiful backyard.  The two boys were caught up in the Halloween spirit, and Cameron enthusiastically wore his Harry Potter costume for most of the afternoon, creating an air of magic and fun!  Aidan was a terrific model, and was awesome at helping me come up with great ideas for shots.  Emma was not a huge fan of my camera at first, but quickly warmed up to it, allowing me to capture her sweet smile.  🙂  Of course, the family’s awesome, beloved dog, Gus, made several cameos during our photo shoot throughout the afternoon, often accompanied by Emma.

I could not have been more lucky to photograph such a delightful family in a breath-taking setting, on a perfectly crisp autumn weekend!  Thanks so much for having me up there, MaryLeigh & James!  Hope we can all get together again soon!
