“’round the banks of lake louise”

Since I’m in Calgary for an extended work trip, I had to plan a little road trip into the Canadian Rockies, which are just visible from the city.

My sister lives in Colorado, and I visit her quite a bit, so I thought I knew the Rockies pretty well.

And then I visited the Canadian Rockies.  Um, WOAH!  These mountains literally made my jaw drop as I drove from Calgary up through Banff, and finally stopping to catch my breath at Lake Louise.  I can honestly say that this is one of the most gorgeous parts of our world, hands down.  Go!  Now!  Book your trip!  😀

PS Does anyone else see a sort of hovering angel shape in the clouds, in the 2nd photo from the top on the right??  Maybe it’s just me!  😛
