“those lazy-hazy-crazy days of summer”

Have I mentioned lately how much I looove the Pacific Northwest?  Because I do.  A whole lot.

After spending a few weeks in Calgary, I decided to take some vacation time and fly down to Oregon, since I was already so close 😉

I spent 4 days in Eugene visiting with one of my best friends from high school, Meghan, and her family.  Meghan’s husband Josh is finishing up his PhD at the University of Oregon, and they have really come to love living out west.  Their kids seriously couldn’t be any cuter, and I’m so happy I was able to spend some time just hanging out at the local park and going to Reese’s T-Ball game.  Thanks for showing me a great time in a gorgeous little town!

PS When I offered to take family photos for Meghan and Josh (they haven’t had any taken since little Graham arrived), Meghan was totally enthusiastic, but warned that they’re “not the kind of family who is going to sit on a blanket in the middle of an apple orchard or anything.”  I laughed and agreed, letting them know that my style is more natural, as I prefer to photograph families wherever they feel most comfortable.  It really made me laugh then when I was sitting down to edit the photos back in NYC and came upon the very last one Reese asked me to take of her after the BBQ at their house.  She’s lying down on a blanket underneath the apple tree in their front yard 😉
