Ahhh vacation. I traveled A LOT for work this summer. While a lot of this travel was quite enjoyable, it’s always nice to get away somewhere and really get away. Needless to say, I was thrilled when my sister asked if I wanted to spend a week in Vail with her at the end of August! We decided we would stay at a fancy hotel, relax, shop in the cute mountain town, and eat and drink to our hearts’ content. But then we got there. And our jaws dropped a little. And we decided we needed to hike. And bike. And horseback ride. We DID end up having one relaxing afternoon lounging in Betty Ford’s Alpine Garden (which had the most gorgeous flowers and trees!), however. So it ended up being an amazing vacation, jam packed with lots of fun and sun and adventures (and even dinner one night at Nobu’s Matsuhisa restaurant!!) After we wrapped up our mountain vacation, we headed back down to Denver, where I was lucky to photograph my sister’s godson for his 1st birthday smash cake session! His super adorable sisters hopped in for a few photos as well, and I can’t wait to share all of them with you in my next post 🙂 We spent my last night there out for dinner and drinks with one of my best friends (and new Denverite) Val! It was SUCH a wonderful week; I just looove Colorado! Hope you enjoy these photos (a mishmash from my Nikon + iPhone)!
