This month sure flew by! Here in New York, we’ve had crazy weather — one day it’s jackets and scarves and the next, flip flops and t-shirts! It’s finally starting to warm up, though, and the other night I went to visit one of my best friends who just moved back to my neighborhood — the Upper East Side! She is renting an amazing apartment that comes complete with a beautiful balcony. A balcony may not mean much to people outside of New York, but to New Yorkers, it’s the ultimate luxury to be able to have a little outdoor space and a view. I already envision many warm summer evenings spent with good friends and wine out on her terrace 🙂 I brought my camera to snap a few photos for you the other night a while after the sun had set. (You may notice the construction — ever present here in the city).
Psst! Now that you’ve checked out the Upper East Side from up on a balcony, please go check out the fabulous Hayley Hay’s wonderful view from Switzerland!
What a spectacular view from your balcony! The last image with the row of “tiny” houses surrounded by skyscrapers is so amazing. I lived in NYC for three months and I loved the energy of this town.
Ah, Colleen I lived in the upper east side, too! I think it was 111. with 3rd avenue.
Thank you Sonja! I love the energy here, as well 🙂 Oh wow you only lived about a mile north of me!! Small world!
Colleen – you always capture your city so beautifully! Every time I get a new perspective on the Big Apple that I haven’t seen before. Beautiful!
These are wonderful Colleen. I love seeing New York through your eyes. The last image is stunning.
Oh my word these are stunning, so vivid and full of life! I’m in awe as always <3
Thank you Sophie! 🙂
